As part of it's commitment to education, the EnergySolutions Foundation has developed new tools for educating Junior High and High School students on nuclear energy. Nuclear Energy and the Use of Nuclear Material written by Dr. Raul Deju, President of EnergySolutions and by Dr. Harry Babad contains the a comprehensive overview of the nuclear power cycle as well as a PowerPoint presentation for each of the chapters. This information is designed to encourage teachers and students to learn more about nuclear energy.

Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Oh My! Informational Flyer - PDF
Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Oh My! includes a menu of lesson plans, games, labs, activities and PowerPoint presentations on energy. They serve to increase science processing skills and thereby science literacy. They are not just aimed at educating the population that will work in this industry in the future, the intent is for broad-based education to help future community leaders, politicians, and journalists thereby generating an energy literate society. The labs were created by a number of expert educators. They realize that junior high and high schools students still have much to learn past these levels. They also know that students need to know a real world context for the information provided in an academic environment. Another intent of the information provided is to help teach students how to apply academic knowledge in a career
